Lawrence Lake Public Boat Launch, Yelm WA 98597
The fishing tournament will begin at 8 A.M. and
end at 3 P.M. at the lake Lawrence public boat launch. No lines in the water
prior to 8 A.M. We will be there under a popup canopy with a sign that says
VFW. You may check-in prior to 8 A.M. There is no deadline as to when you must
check-in, but you must check-in prior to fishing. Anyone not at the
checkout at 3 P.M. or sooner will be disqualified, 3:01 P.M. and later will be
disqualified (including the tagged fish) no matter the reason.
All boat operators must fill out an Aquatic Invasive Species
Decontamination Report if the boat, trailer, engine, or water containers used
in this tournament have been in physical contact with waters
outside the State of Washington in the last 30 days.
All boat operators must fill out the
Aquatic Invasive Species Decontamination Statement at check-in the day of the
tournament.
The 20 tagged fish will be released prior to the
start of the tournament somewhere in the lake. The exact time and location of
the releasing must remain confidential per the contract with the insurance
company. Anyone that lands a tagged fish must be registered and
checked in prior to catching the fish or it will be void.
Preregistration will remain open until March 21st at midnight Pacific standard time.

Every person fishing in the tournament needs to register and pay entry fees.
Bank fishing: There is plenty of bank fishing available to anglers without a watercraft.
Watercraft: Any flotation device used to transport a person on the water for example boat, kayak, canoe, paddle-board, raft, float tube, Etc. There are no tournament restrictions on how many people are permitted on each boat, however, all laws still apply.
There are two categories of watercraft for this tournament.
1.Gasoline: Any watercraft propelled by a gasoline-powered motor.
2.Non-Gasoline: Any watercraft not propelled by a gasoline-powered motor.
Only contestants operating watercraft need to pre-register either the Gasoline or Non-gasoline watercraft. All other contestants pre-register as a contestant no matter fishing from the bank or from a watercraft.
40 gasoline-powered watercraft are permitted to enter this tournament. Currently, there are 19 gasoline-powered watercraft registered and 21 slots still open.
60 non-gasoline-powered watercraft are permitted to enter this tournament. Currently, there are 2 non-gasoline watercraft registered and 58 slots still open.
